Donald Davis is a senior human resource generalist with 30 years of experience as an individual contributor, manager, and director in the medical device, healthcare, and manufacturing industries for start-up and fortune 500 companies that includes leading acquisitions due diligence, transition, integration, and facility closure.

Davis has experience in HR administration, total rewards, compensation and benefits planning, HRIS, payroll, training and development, management development, talent management, succession planning, OD, strategic planning, conflict resolution, employee relations, staffing, AAP/EEO, and safety and workers’ compensation management.

JD Sanders

M.Ed., SPHR

JD Sanders, M.Ed., SPHR, is currently a Human Resource Business Consultant with over 20 years of experience and founder of J.D. Sanders Consulting. He is a human resource leader with extensive expertise in strategic management, workforce planning, and integration both in large and small high tech companies, including five years with Silicon Graphics Inc. He has also held senior HR positions at Irwin Home Equity and Lam Research.

Sanders is known for the successful ability to align human resources with organization business objectives and leadership development. He has a Master of Education, Human Services and Human Resource Education from Boston University.

Among many recognitions, Sanders was named 2004 NCHRA Volunteer of the Year, is a Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR), SPHR California (SPHR-CA), Senior HR Generalist Certificate holder, SHRM Member, NCHRA Member, Former NCHRA Board Member, Former SCVC-NCHRA Chapter Chair, and has 15 years of experience as an SPHR/PHR Certification Instructor (90+ Sessions).

aPHR® Eligibility

If you are interested in taking the aPHR™ exam, you will need to meet the following requirement:

  • Have a high school diploma or global equivalent

Please note: No HR experience is required since this is a knowledge-based credential.

PHR® Eligibility

If you are interested in taking the PHR exam, you will need to meet one of the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional-level HR position with a master's degree or higher, OR
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with a bachelor's degree, OR
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with less than a bachelor's degree

SPHR® Eligibility

If you are interested in taking the SPHR® exam, you will need to meet one of the following requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with a master’s degree or higher, OR
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with a bachelor’s degree, OR
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a professional-level HR position with less than a bachelor's degree
