FAIM History

The International Conference on Flexible Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing (FAIM) has a rich and time-tested tradition of excellence. The first FAIM conference was held in 1991 in Ireland. Since then, the FAIM conferences have been held in North America and European countries.

Manufacturing today must adjust to dynamic markets which demand excellence in areas of cost, quality, throughput, innovativeness and time to market. Flexible Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing is based on advanced technologies, computer integrated product and process development, and organizational methods that meet the changing conditions. FAIM conferences address applications of new technologies and methods to the manufacturing environment, from industrial and academic perspectives.
