Certificate Program

The California State University, East Bay Digital Arts Certificate will appeal to graphic designers, artists, illustrators, Web developers and anyone else who, for work or recreation, requires a thorough education in digital photography and digital imaging.

Those who take advantage of Cal State East Bay's program will both attain proficiency in specific tools like Adobe Photoshop and immerse themselves in color theory, digital photography concepts and the technical fundamentals of computer-based art and design. Students will complete a range of projects that encompass digital art studies, retouching, compositing, illustration, identity design, color matching and composition studies, photorealistic imaging, color correction and art exhibition development. For those without prior experience, Cal State East Bay's program offers an excellent opportunity to build a design portfolio for prospective employers.

Offered in partnership with Gatlin Education Services, the course's online-only format makes it convenient for people anywhere in the world, not just those who live or work in the San Francisco East Bay Area.
