About Us

California State University, East Bay Continuing Education provides professional development training and education for East Bay professionals, offering more than 40 degree and certificate programs in a variety of industries and fields, including Behavioral and Health Science, Business and Management, Corporate Training, Education, Engineering and Project Management, Legal and Real Estate/Construction Management.

The department's programs are taught by industry-experienced and academically acclaimed instructors. Its smaller class sizes and instructor-to-student ratio allows for more personal instruction, mentoring, and coaching. Programs are offered at three campus locations in Hayward, Oakland, and Concord.

Continuing Education is part of the Cal State East Bay Division of Continuing and International Education (DCIE). DCIE is a wholly self-supporting unit that develops and markets its own programs, administers its schedules, and registers and enrolls students without general fund support. The departments and auxiliaries under the DCIE umbrella are: Continuing Education; International Education, such as the American Language Program* and Center for International Education; and the Oakland Professional Development Center.
